Following a successful Christmas eve gig, soloist ZANE PENN will be back at Central Charlestown Leagues Club on Thursday night .
The former frontman of MATRIX has been entertaining audiences along the east coast of Australia for the past 10 years, as a soloist, in duos and bands, and currently as a solo acoustic artist.
With his years of experience, Penn has attained a variety-filled repertoire of material that includes early rock and roll songs to Top 40 hits that cater to all ages.
For the past two years, he has built a solid reputation as a musician and vocalist.
The young guitarist and singer-songwriter is also playing original compositions with the band VILLAIN which has won the support for the MENTAL AS ANYTHING gig at Toronto Workers Club next month.
Described as somewhere between ROLLING STONES and TOM PETTY, Villain's original tunes have a retro feel.
The three-piece, which sees Penn accompanied by bass player MARK WOOD and drummer JAMES BARNETT, hope to record and release the band's original material by mid-January.
Zane Penn will also perform as a soloist on Friday at the Shaft Tavern, Saturday at Hamilton RSL Club and you can also catch him on Sunday at Swansea Bowling Club.
