JUST back in town from TAMWORTH'S COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL and still shaking the hay outta its boots is Newcastle country band OUTBACK. The fellas were unlucky not to take out the Battle of the Bushbands competition at the festival, finishing runner-up ahead of bands from around the country.
Lobbing back in time for Australia Day, the group would have struggled to blow a candle out after three gigs that day in Raymond Terrace, Speers Point Park and the Kent Hotel at Hamilton.
They'll be keen to get fiddling about town again, so look for them at a venue near you soon.
