Davis Deadly Funny

Who: Drew Davis
Where: Grand Hotel
When: Thursday December 16, 1999

ON the answering machine of comedian DREW DAVIS there's a deadly serious voice that introduces the caller to 'DREW'S FUNERAL HOME'. 'Good morning to you,' the voice says. 'It's always (mourning) here. Can you dig it?'

Tomorrow night in the basement of the Grand Hotel, Davis and fellow funny people JASON STARRETT, RICHARD HOWARD, BRIAN BIRKEFELD, DOOL and PAUL SANSOM will be entertaining audiences with their special Christmas Show.

Called THE FOUR (the lineup has since grown) Birkfield and Howard, will perform together, Starrett will act as MC, and each comedian will perform a 30-minute set.

Meanwhile back at Davis' answering machine, the caller is being offered 'a go of a coffin between 11 and 2 any day you want'.

'And don't forget our pensioner discounts or two-for-one offers,' he deadpans.

Tickets are $10. The show begins at 8pm. TE
