EIGHT bands for six bucks is good value, especially when you're under 18, but that's the good news this Saturday at the BLACK BOX at the Newcastle Community Arts Centre, Parry St.
Melbourne band SENSE OF PURPOSE, playing 'heartfelt hardcore', will join the all-Newcastle line-up of ELBOW DEEP, CASE FOR JEFFERSON, CONATION, BARE KNUCKLE FIGHT, FMD and ARM'S REACH. The gig begins at 5pm, is alcohol- and drug-free, and winds up at 11pm.
Organiser of Saturday's gig KRISTY TATE from Arm's Reach was also responsible for THE DROPKICK MURPHYS show at the Black Box last month.
'It was really good,' she said.
'There were heaps of new faces there and heaps of the kids travelled in from the suburbs to be there.'
