VICTORIAN country vocalist ADAM HARVEY is a new young signing to WARNER MUSIC AUSTRALIA whose debut album was produced by JOE CAMILLERI of THE BLACK SORROWS. Performing tonight at Maitland City Bowling Club and Saturday night at Cardiff Workers Club, Harvey has a distinctive, expressive voice with a rich, deep timbre.
Harvey is inspired by singers GEORGE JONES, CONWAY TWITTY, MERLE HAGGARD and TOM T HALL. He won the Best Male Vocalist Award at the MILDURA COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS in 1994.
In 1998 Harvey's duet with TANYA SELF won a GOLDEN GUITAR for Best Vocal Collaboration.
The title track on Harvey's debut called TREAT ME LIKE A DOG was written by a regular visitor to the Hunter, Victorian rockabilly and blues guitarist-vocalist RED RIVERS. The video is on high rotation on the Australian COUNTRY MUSIC TELEVISION cable channel.
His first Warner single, GYPSY QUEEN, made it to number one on both NATIONAL AIRPLAY TOP 20 and HOT-FM. TE
