WHEN it opened at the Royal Court Theatre London on June 19, 1973, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW was a sexual-liberationist spoof on '50s sci-fi films and teen musicals.
Its author, a young New Zealand-born actor, RICHARD O'BRIEN, could hardly have expected the musical would become a cult hit in London, running for 2960 performances, and evolving into a smash motion picture three years later.
The Australian production, starring TIM FERGUSON, as Dr Frank 'n' Furter, is playing at the Star City Casino.
This Friday night CLUB TROPPO at the Cardiff Workers Club is giving patrons a chance to win a table for eight, valued at $500, to see the Sydney production.
Club Troppo will also feature a TIME WARP dance competition and the VIDEOTEK DANCE PARTY until 2am. TE
