TICKETS to the JANET JACKSON WORLD TOUR 1998, expected to go down as one of the hottest mainstream tours of 1998, went on sale last Friday.THE NEWCASTLE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE is the venue for THE VELVET ROPE JANET JACKSON WORLD TOUR 1998 on December 10.
Returning to Australia in December, Jackson will be joined by HUMAN NATURE for a spectacular series of concerts.
Following four consecutive multi-platinum albums that have sold more than 40million copies worldwide, 18 chart-topping singles and a swag of awards and honours, Jackson returns Down Under with a two-hour production featuring nine dancers, a six-piece band, stunning visual effects and stage sets plus a multitude of costumes.
Performing material from her double platinum album THE VELVET ROPE, and her 18 top singles, Jackson's current tour has smashed box office records wherever it has played so far, according to promoter MICHAEL COPPEL.
The concerts are the only 1998 Australian shows for HUMAN NATURE which will be showcasing its upcoming new album, COUNTING DOWN, to be released on November 9, from which the single CRUEL was spawned.
