IF the idea of a trek to Brisbane to catch LIVID on October 3 doesn't tickle your sense of adventure then maybe something a little closer to home the day after might do the trick.
Just announced for Sunday, October 4, Wharf 3 Walsh Bay, Sydney Harbour, is SOAP, sponsored by ST VINNIES FOR YOUTH. Some Livid bands will be there, including GRINSPOON, THE WHITLAMS, and the PRE SHRUNK lads, but Soap also has TISM and IOTA among others.
If you haven't seen PRE SHRUNK yet they're well worth a closer look next Wednesday at SJ's Hotel, doing their experimental head shifting trick using two bass guitars, a stack of effects pedals and some pig skins.
Meanwhile tickets to SOAP are $38 plus booking fee.
TE has two double passes to give away. To go in the draw, send an envelope with your name, address and telephone number, to SOAP GIVEAWAY, PO Box 200, Newcastle 2300. Check out the full line-up and enter the comp on-line at the TE web site, www.nnp.com.au
