ONE reviewer described folk singer ENDA KENNY as 'Paddy gone walkabout' for his ability to combine the Blarney with the bush.
Kenny, playing this Saturday night for the NEWCASTLE & HUNTER VALLEY FOLK CLUB, at the Wesley Seniors Hall, William St, Hamilton, is in hot demand.
His independent CDs have gained rave reviews, including one by the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD which suggested he may be 'the finest folk-based singer/songwriter working in Australia'.
In the past three years he has released a CD annually, including TWELVE SONGS, BAKER'S DOZEN and SIX OF ONE. SIX OF ONE contains six of his own songs and six by some of his favourite writers.
Saturday's show begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are $12, $10 concession and $8 for members.TE
