A MOTORCYCLE run, being organised to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the cult Australian film STONE, is expected to attract 25,000 riders from all over Australia in December.
The fully police-escorted run from Hornsby at 11am on Saturday, December 12, will culminate at 1pm at Barley Ranch, 10km north of Raymond Terrace, with a RAGE PARTY. Barnsley-based organiser BINKY ROMINSKI said the HUNTER Z CLUB, comprising riders of the Kawasaki Z900 motorcycle, was known around Australia for its organisation of the rally.
The Z900 was used prominently in the cult road movie, starring SANDY HUBBARD.
Hubbard and 14 original cast members will also participate in the 'social rally'.
'Everyone is welcome to participate,' Rominski said.
A family-style 'rage party' will be held at Raymond Terrace. On-site camping will be available from Friday, December 11. Pre-sold tickets are $20, which comes with a memorial patch, available by phoning 4953-1500. TE
