Son of JPY Debuts

Who: Lucy's Wall
Where: Belmont Sportsmans Club
When: Saturday November 7, 1998

THE son of well-known Lake Macquarie singer JOHN PAUL YOUNG will make his debut this Saturday night at Belmont Sportsmans Club.

DANIEL MARKS-YOUNG, and his band LUCY'S WALL will perform at the first full rock show at the Belmont venue, with Dudley group THE RUMOUR. Other members of Lucy's Wall are drummer MATT SULLIVAN, guitarist DANIEL DOYLE, guitarist AARON LAWRIE and bass guitarist and keyboard player LLOYD RICHARDSON. The group was introduced to Marks-Young by Redhead guitar legend NICK CROFT who lives near the JPY clan near Fassifern.

Sullivan said the band had been together for about three years since high school as THE LIZARDS, and was known briefly as THE MUDSKIPPERS before Marks-Young joined.

Marks-Young suggested the name after overhearing his father and guitarist FLOYD VINCENT talking about a local fishing spot at Lake Macquarie.

Sullivan said the band played a mixture of cover versions and originals 'but we don't want it to be a typical band'.
