MELODIC rock band THE GARDENERS intends to plant seeds of songs in the heads of listeners whenever they perform at Hunter music venues.
Spokesgardener GARY BIGGS said it was only the second gig for the group, which debuted at the Lass O'Gowrie a couple of weeks back.
This Saturday night the industrious musicians will be turning sods at the Lass O'Gowrie Hotel, one of a burgeoning number of venues opening to original music.
'It's coversville and people really need educating,' he said.
The band has about 30 originals which 'will grow on you', with influences of MIDNIGHT OIL, THE CHURCH and REM. Other members of THE GARDENERS are JOHN ROTOLO, ROB LOJEWSKI and GRAEME FRAME.
