THERE are few songwriters who have had as much influence on pop music as Neil Sedaka. Throughout his 40-year career the American singer-songwriter has produced a seemingly endless stream of hits that remain etched in the minds of a generation.

A tribute to the music of Sedaka will be staged at Cardiff Panthers when The Neil Sedaka Show appears on Friday, December 2.

Twelve months in the making, the show has finally made it to the stage and brings four decades of hits together in a two-hour performance.

Mark Bowden captures the essence of the star in a Las Vegas- style production which is virtually a complete anthology of Sedaka's best-known compositions.

Songs to be performed include Standing On The Inside, Oh Carol, Calendar Girl, Amarillo, Little Devil and Breaking Up Is Hard To Do. He will be joined by the Sedaka Sensations Dancers and special guest Debora McLane. Tickets to the show will cost you $15.

Bookings can be made at the club.
