ONE of Britain's leading DJs will be in town this weekend.
Andy Ward, resident of leading UK club Soul Heaven, is bringing his brand of soulful house to Australia as part of the Strings of Life Tour. It will stop in Newcastle at the King Street Hotel on Friday night.
Having worked with dance heavyweights Louie Vega, Masters At Work and the Strictly Rhythm Crew, Ward is a sought-after DJ and producer. He is widely regarded as the UK's best soulful house DJ. The release of Ward's track Strings of Life gave him one of the biggest dance anthems of 2004 and it continues to fill dance floors.
Supporting Ward on Friday night will be DJs Yogi, Chris Tanch and Patsan. Doors open at 10pm and tickets are $10.
