Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again

Who: Abbalanche
Where: Belmont 16ft Sailing Club
When: Saturday July 2, 2005

CAN'T get enough of ABBA? Then don't miss out when one of Australia's top ABBA tribute shows returns to Newcastle in what promises to be a glittering performance.

ABBALANCHE will perform all the hits of Sweden's biggest pop group at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club on Saturday, July 2.

With ABBA'S popularity still as strong as ever, Abbalanche provides a timely celebration of the dazzling costumes, singalong ballads and dance-floor hits.

Expect to hear all the classics from Ring Ring and Mamma Mia through to Dancing Queen and Fernando. Audience participation plays a huge part in the band's show and Abbalanche create the quintessential ABBA sound totally live.

Complete with flawless Swedish accents, Abbalanche comprises Peter Watters as Bjorn, Lesley Watters as Frida, Jenni Taylor as Ana and Bob Wheatley as Benny, backed by band members John Jurkovic and Dimitri Kanikevich. Although Abbalanche is a tribute band, it is considered one of the best.

In September last year Abbalanche was invited to share the stage with some of the legends of the disco era during the two-week Best Disco In Town national tour playing some of the biggest venues in the country.

Acts included The Village People, Boney M and KC and the Sunshine Band. Tickets to Abbalanche cost $15 per person and are on sale now at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club.
