Festival Favourites Showcase Album

Who: The Yearlings
Where: Northern Star Hotel
When: Sunday June 26, 2005

ADELAIDE duo The Yearlings will perform in Newcastle next month as part of a short tour to showcase the new album Wind Already Blown. Members Robyn Chalklen and Chris Parkinson, who sing and play guitar, will launch the album during a performance at the Cat and Fiddle in Balmain on June 12.

Following the duo's self-titled debut from 2003, Wind Already Blown captures elements of folk, blues and country with poignant ballads and resonant personal songs.

Chalklen and Parkinson have been performing since meeting at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2000.

Having won over audiences on the country and folk scenes, The Yearlings have also become festival favourites and supported artists such as Jimmy Little, Fred Eaglesmith and Bill Chambers. The Yearlings will perform at the Northern Star Hotel on Sunday, June 26.
