On The Trail Of New Musical Sound

FOLLOWING the trail of the hot new country rock craze, SLIM JIM AND THE CITY SLICKERS will get down at MAYFIELD EX- SERVICES CLUB on Sunday and serve a bumper evening of country tunes.

Comprising well- known Newcastle artists, Slim Jim and the City Slickers features the vocal talent of BOB AND CHRIS HANLEY, who share a long history working as a duo.

Bob Hanley fronts Slim Jim and the City Slickers on guitar and vocals while Chris Hanley plays keyboards and adds vocals as well.

STEVE HILDA completes the line-up on vocals and keyboards, bringing plenty of experience to the group, having performed with many bands over the years.

Together the three musicians share a combined stage experience of more than 40 years.

With a strong emphasis on providing top-quality entertainment, they encourage audience participation, and line dancing is always a popular feature during the show.

Slim Jim and the City Slickers perform from 7pm. Entry is free.
