Dozer Starts Tour On Big Note

Who: Dozer, Giants of Science
Where: The Cambridge Hotel
When: Wednesday June 16, 2004

SWEDISH rock outfit DOZER certainly has a lot to live up to.

Recent reports from the US have compared the four- piece to QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MONSTER MAGNET and FU MANCHU. Reports from renowned magazine METAL HAMMER have been just as glowing after it named the band's latest album, Call It Conspiracy , as one of the top 20 albums of 2003.

Dozer recently completed a successful tour of Europe and is on its first tour of Australia this month.

Dozer released its first vinyl single in 1999 through METEOR CITY RECORDS split record with UNIDA, featuring former KYUSS star JOHN GARCIA on vocals.

The band released its first album, In The Tail of a Comet , in 2000, following it with the Madre De Dios album in 2001.

Call it Conspiracy is the band's latest album and boasts a collection of bass-grinding stoner rock.

Dozer started its Australian tour in Geelong last week.

The band will perform during THE GLASSHOUSE at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL tonight with support from Brisbane band GIANTS OF SCIENCE and Newcastle's THE PINTS. Entry is free.
