Where: Nag's Head Hotel
When: Friday February 13, 2004

PORT Macquarie-based outfit GHOST ROAD will lead a spooky celebration at the NAGS HEAD HOTEL this weekend to coincide with Black Friday.

The four-piece which describes its sound as ``rootsy with a contemporary edge'' will perform at the hotel at Adamstown on Friday night.

This follows a busy year of touring for the band which has completed several tours along the Australian east coast, developing a particularly strong following in Newcastle along the way.

Late last year Ghost Road played one of the biggest shows of its career when it headlined A DAY ON THE GRASS at BURWOOD BOWLING CLUB before a crowd of 2500.

Ghost Road also enjoyed a five-week stint playing five nights a week during the snow season at Perisher, Charlotte's Pass and Thredbo.

Ghost Road also regularly performs throughout Sydney at venues including THE EMPIRE HOTEL, THE BRIDGE HOTEL, THE IVANHOE HOTEL MANLY and THE OLD MANLY BOATSHED .

Touring is not the only focus for the band, though.

It released its debut album Private Eyes in 2003 and has since sold more than 1500 copies.

Ghost Road said it planned to spend the next 12 months completing work on a follow-up album, due for release in mid-2004, featuring roots-based numbers.
