ANGIE HART will perform as one half of Los Angeles-based pop duo SPLENDID at SALARIUM SPACE on Friday night.

The former FRENTE star finally returned to Australian shores earlier this year to debut Splendid which comprises her and musician husband JESSE TOBIAS. Splendid released the debut album Have You Got A Name For It in 1999 but Hart decided to take some time out from music while Tobias worked closely with ALANIS MORISETTE, if MICHELLE BRANCH and VANESSA CARLTON. With her passion for making music renewed, Hart returned to the project this year to record and release the new EP States of Awake. The track Asleep has enjoyed strong airplay and encouraged Hart to return for another tour.

Although she won't be joined by her husband this time around as he remains in the US fulfilling tour commitments with Morisette, Hart will be joined by a host of special guests. if Punters can expect some new and exciting sonic dynamics on the tour as Hart is joined by former Frente member BILL MCDONALD on acoustic bass and guitar, ANTHONY SCHULZ on piano, accordion and keys and her sister BECKY HART on keys and atmospherics.

Melbourne guest EMILY ULMAN, who recently toured with DAMIEN RICE, PETE MURRAY and PAUL KELLY, and Newcastle singer-songwriter ANOUSHA VICTOIRE will join Splendid at Salarium Space.
