Where: Western Suburbs Leagues Club
When: Wednesday November 13, 2002

HE'S regarded as rock'n'roll royalty in New Zealand and he is making his way to Newcastle.

After a year-long stint away from Newcastle, entertainment legend JOHN ROWLES will roll back into town in November.

Rowles has pioneered his way through the entertainment industry for the past 25 years, performing to capacity crowds around the globe.

Born and bred in New Zealand, his big break came at age 20 when he was discovered by CLIFF RICHARD'S manager PETER GORMLEY. Under the guidance of Gormley, Rowles' fan base exploded following the release of his debut single IF ONLY I HAD TIME. The single reached number one in the UK, New Zealand and Australia and saw Rowles perform on some of the world's biggest television programs.

As well as appearances on TOP OF THE POPS and THE BOB HOPE SHOW, Rowles was invited to perform to a crowd of 68,000 at a NASA benefit concert.

Rowles received one of his biggest honours in 1980 when he was awarded an OBE for his contribution to music.

Oozing the dazzling style of a true Las Vegas showman, Rowles will perform three dates around the Hunter.

He will perform at WESTS LEAGUES CLUB on November 13, HEXHAM BOWLING CLUB on November 15 and BELMONT 16FT SAILING CLUB on November 16.

Tickets are on sale now.
