On Inc Back In Business

Who: On Inc
Where: SJ's on Beaumont
When: Friday November 8, 2002

MANY would remember ON INC'S final show with BRUCE 'BABS' CLARKE at FANNY's in April.

Well, On Inc is back in business after a six-month stint away from the limelight and has recruited new members, written new material and is preparing for a relaunch.

On Inc had huge success in 2001 with the album THE RHYTHM FLAVOUR, a quirky collection of dance, electronica, hip hop and even a bit of country.

The group has welcomed new vocalist AMY VEE and drummer NICK CECIRE, joining original members SCOTTY SCOTT and GINA. Gina will remain on bass, while Scott moves onto percussion and samples.

It was by chance that Vee auditioned for the group after her cousin, MACHINE GUN FELLATIO'S CHIT CHAT, recommended her to Scott.

'We decided to go with Amy because when she sang for me, she just had a voice that could be manipulated into any kind of style,' Scott.

'I'm not sure where the new songs are evolving to just yet but she's really versatile.'

Scott has been working on new tracks in his home studio and will perform at least three fresh tunes during a return to SJ'S HOTEL on Friday night.

'We're still doing a fair bit of the old material but the songs with Babs's rapping have been shortened and mixed with other songs.'

Scott hopes a new single will be released by March. He also hopes the sound of On Inc will move into a 'more mature and focused' direction.

'I just want to get out and play, we're all really hyped,' he said.

Tickets are available on the door.
