King Curly a Star Turn at the Northern Star

King Curly a Star Turn at the Northern Star

Who: King Curly
Where: Northern Star Hotel
When: Thursday March 28, 2002

IT'S one thing to earn yourself a legion of adoring fans, but another for your peers to appreciate your work as much as the average fan.

King Curly has learnt that its music has come to influence the musicians who once influenced it.

Its tunes are being covered by performers including Jimmy Little and Vika and Linda Bull. Built around an unusual combination of instruments and classic songwriting, King Curly has emerged as one of Sydney's most diverse bands.

The three-piece comprises Steve Appel on guitar and vocals, Elmo Reed on double bass and Greg Walker on accordion and percussion.

King Curly will perform at the Northern Star Hotel tomorrow night.
