Floyd Vincent Mixes It Up Musically

YOU could never accuse Floyd Vincent of being a dull musician.

Vincent has had a number of interesting collaborations over the past few weeks, working with a renowned pianist and an international DJ.

The first unusual collaboration took place at Byron Bay's Beach Hotel where Floyd Vincent and The Childbrides performed to a full house with Spanish DJ and producer Jose Padilla. Padilla shot to fame with the success of his Cafe Del Mar albums.

Vincent then went on to team up with pianist David Helfgott. 'Playing music or even listening to David even for a short while is an uplifting experience,' Vincent said.

'The concert in Bellingen was a lot of fun but a few nights later we got together for a dinner at his house and played 14 different versions of the same song A Bush Carol on his salt encrusted Yamaha Grand.

'Now that was cool!'

Floyd Vincent and The Childbrides will perform in Newcastle at the Northern Star Hotel on Saturday night.
