Popular Band Pops in to Share its Energetic and Imaginative Sound

Who: The Teddysexuals, The Faction
Where: SJ's on Beaumont
Author: Jade Lazerevic
When: Thursday February 28, 2002

YOU could be forgiven for mistaking an album by The Teddysexuals as the soundtrack to a porn film.

With its blend of pop, heavy blues and funk instruments, the band has developed a distinct sound.

For the past four years, The Teddysexuals have been a favourite on the live scene in Sydney and the group will perform in Newcastle at SJ's Hotel tomorrow night.

The Teddysexuals have been performing and recording for more than four years and earned a reputation as an energetic and imaginative band.

The show at SJ's will coincide with the release of The Teddysexuals' new album, which is titled Hovercraft. The release follows their five-track EP The Bear Essentials which was a big hit in Australia and on indie radio stations throughout Europe and America.

If you can't get along to the boys' gig tomorrow night, catch them when they perform at Newcastle University on March 14.

The Teddysexuals will be supported by the newly reformed boys from The Faction tomorrow.
