ALTHOUGH he was born in Wollongong, sensational soloist Mick Jones has been calling Newcastle home for the past 12 years.

The singer and guitarist made the move to Newcastle in 1988 and has since pursued his career as an entertainer, developing a strong following.

Jones began playing guitar at the age of 15 and has been impressing audiences with his vocal and guitar style since.

Jones performs music from middle-of-the-road to rock.

He also covers a wide variety of artists with a set list that appeals to any audience.

His repertoire contains classic hits from artists including Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan and James Taylor. Jones also covers popular new artists including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tonic and Matchbox 20. Catch Jones's solo show when he performs at Waratah Rugby Union Club on Sunday.
