Undermine Overjoyed by Album Release

Who: Undermine, Cog, Head Poppin' Fatness, Alcamac, Snap to Zero
Where: The Cambridge Hotel
When: Friday August 16, 2002

FOUR years ago, heavy metal band UNDERMINE made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The Lake Macquarie band was the subject of controversy over its use of bad language during the ROCKFEST competition at MATTARA in 1998 and was forced to change its song lyrics.

Now the band is making headlines once again, but this time to celebrate the release of its debut album.

The launch will take place at THE CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on Friday night.

Since forming 1997, Undermine has been busy perfecting its own blend of aggressive rock, sharing the stage with the likes of SEGRESSION and JERK along the way.

To put the album together, the band called on the handy work of Jerk's LAMAR LOWDER , who produced the band's forthcoming release BULLETSHOCK. Getting its name out there has been a high priority for the band. Its track 24 LAZY EYES was used on CHANNEL V'S broadcast of the 2002 SHOOT OUT film festival.

On Friday, Undermine will share the bill with COG, HEAD POPPIN' FATTNESS, ALCAMAC and SNAP TO ZERO. Undermine will be on stage from 10pm
