Fur Will Fly as Band Returns Hot From Patrol

Who: Fur Patrol
Where: Northern Star Hotel
When: Friday May 3, 2002

FUR PATROL will return to Newcastle next week to perform at the Northern Star Hotel, fresh from a major tour supporting Machine Gun Fellatio and Waikiki. Fur Patrol just wrapped up a number of dates with Jebediah and the New Zealand four-piece, who now live in Melbourne, will perform at the Northern Star on May 3.

It will be one of the band's final Australian shows before it jets off to London to perform at a festival with Regurgitator and Spiderbait. The band will also attempt to impress a number of UK labels during a series of showcases with a number of labels.

Upon its return to Australia in June, Fur Patrol will gear up to begin work on its second album, which will follow up the debut Pet, which was released last year.

In the meantime, the band has released its new single Lydia, which has already made it to the top spot on the New Zealand pop charts.
