Impersonators on Call at Hexham Bowling Club

What: Can You Sing, Can You Look Like A Star Karaoke
Where: Hexham Bowling Club
When: Monday October 1, 2001

HAS anybody ever told you you look like Madonna or said that you sing just like Elvis or maybe Mick Jagger? If so, the perfect opportunity has arrived for you to get on stage and impersonate the star you think you look or sound like.

Hexham Bowling Club will host a new competition called Can You Sing, Can You Look Like A Star Karaoke. Organisers have been recruiting competition entrants over the past few weeks and will continue to do so until the weekly competition begins on October 3.

On Monday night at 7pm, get along to the club and audition for a chance to become part of the competition's weekly floor show on Wednesday nights from 7pm.

Event Coordinator Emil Matla said he was looking for Shania Twain, Tom Jones, The Spice Girls, ABBA, Buddy Holly and any other stars that locals may resemble.

'It's going to be a very fun competition,' Mr Matla said.

'The people chosen at the audition have the chance of becoming part of a very well organised floor show.'

The competition offers a lot of fantastic prizes, including $1000 cash grand prize and spot prizes such as televisions, holidays, restaurant vouchers and much more.

For more information call Emil Matla on 4987-7354 or the club on 4964-8079.
