Giants of Science Kept Busy with Tours, New EP

Who: Giants of Science, The Monstrous Blues
Where: SJ's on Beaumont
When: Wednesday September 12, 2001

BRISBANE rockers Giants of Science have been busy lately with the release of an EP and constant touring across Australia.

The group is on the road again for a nine-date tour of the east coast with Wollongong band The Monstrous Blues. Giants of Science and The Monstrous Blues will pop into SJ's Hotel to perform with ryandavid and locals Audiophile tonight for a Hot House special.

The group has performed at a number of festivals recently, including Rocket 4 in Brisbane's Botanical Gardens alongside The Resin Dogs, Soma Rasa and Gota Cola. Giants of Science also supported The Mark of Cain in Brisbane and Sydney during their national tour in July alongside H-Block 101. Coming up for the group is the Livid Festival in Brisbane next month.

As well as touring, their latest EP has received a lot of positive attention from fans and critics.

It was released on Brisbane's Rhythm Ace Records and has been sitting on the national AIR singles chart top ten for 13 weeks, peaking as high as number two.

The release was launched to a near capacity crowd at The Zoo in Fortitude Valley with help from Budd, The Monstrous Blues and The Aampirellas in May.

Entry to the show tonight is free.
