Sodastream Adding Fizz to Gig

FRESHLY upgraded music website Vocal Assault is hosting a free performance at the Cambridge Hotel on Saturday night.

Featuring some of Australia's hottest young talent, the show will welcome Sodastream, Sea Life Park and Ex-Pat to the stage.

Originally from Perth but now based in Melbourne, Sodastream released its second album last week and Saturday's gig will act as an album launch for the band.

Sodastream has toured extensively throughout Australia and Europe since taking an acoustic slant after the departure of its drummer in 1998.

Their EP Practical Footwear was named Single of the Week by Moby in Melody Maker and the EP was soon released in the US.

The group released its debut album Looks Like A Russian last year.
