BIKINIS and summer tans have been in abundance during heats of the Miss Hawaiian Tropic competition.
A number of heats have been held at venues around Newcastle and the competition is beginning to heat up.
Mayfield Ex-Services Club has been attracting large crowds to its competition heats.
Heat four will be held tomorrow night from 7.30pm in the lead-up to the November 29 final.
Beaumont Exchange Hotel will host semifinal two tonight from 8pm.
The event will feature the return of all the girls after a chance to make it into the grand final on October 31.
The competition will see the winner travel to Surfers Paradise to join other finalists from across Australia for the chance to be named Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia.
The winner will travel to Las Vegas to compete in the world finals and receive a total prize package valued at over $5000.
If one of our local girls is lucky, she will win a total prize package valued at over $200,000 and be named Miss Hawaiian Tropic.
