Blend of Funk and Blues Sure to Please

PERFORMING a mix of blues, funk and roots music, the TJ Blanch File will return to Newcastle this weekend to perform three shows.

Recently voted Best New Talent at the Chain Awards, the group will perform at the Museum Hotel on Friday, Bonnells Bay Tavern on Saturday and the Shortland Hotel on Sunday.

The band perform material from James Brown, Sam and Dave, Albert Collins, BB King and Robert Cray as well as their own original material.

Based in Illawarra, the band has performed extensively in Sydney and Melbourne since it formed three years ago.

Entry to the three gigs is free.
