Heavenly Voices Gently Screaming

Who: DyMyR
Author: Michael Gadd

WITH six strings and two voices capable of taking the lead at any time, Gently Screaming is pure class.

Not your conventional duo, Wolodymyr 'DyMyR' Dyszkant and Bernadette Lannen are accomplished artists.

DyMyR just released a self-titled album, which he is playing around Newcastle and along the East Coast when time allows.

Lannen, whose sweet and soaring vocals are the focal point for local Irish outfit Erin sings back-up on DyMyR's album.

At the moment DyMyR is helping her record an album of sample material in the the same makeshift studio in which he recorded his album, for her to take to Ireland later in the year.

The duo is negotiating dates for gigs at the Grand Junction Hotel, Clarendon Hotel and Boulevard on Beaumont. The pair also performed a diverse range of tracks at the recent bridal fair held at ClubNova Newcastle.

On stage the duo shares the limelight, playing songs written by DyMyR and Bernadette, as well as some well-chosen and recreated covers.

A song such as Nick Cave's Into My Arms, when performed by Gently Screaming, is spine-tingling.
