BELMONT 16ft Sailing Club will present the ultimate tribute to Judy Garland when it hosts the Judy Garland Story today at 11am.

The show presents the life of Garland through song and stars Melanie Parry who bears a striking resemblance to the star of the Wizard of Oz. Parry's performance celebrates the concert years of the Garland era through unforgettable songs.

Included are tracks such as Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Zing Went the Strings, Meet Me in St Louis, Trolley Song, Get Happy, Me and My Gal, San Francisco, Swanee and many more.

The show will be in the club's Lakeview Lounge area and is a part of the club's series of free Wednesday morning performances.

Scottish accordion player John Macdonald will be a special guest at the show.

Macdonald recently released his 50th album and has toured throughout Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and the Far East.

During his early teens he toured Scotland as a featured accordionist working summer seasons on the theatre circuit.

Macdonald performs his own special brand of music encompassing Scottish, Irish, French, German, country and light classical.

In coming weeks the Lakeview Lounge will host the Superlatino show and a tribute to Shirley Bassey.
