Stabbing Westward on Cutting Edge of Sound

Who: Stabbing Westward, Live
Where: Newcastle Entertainment Centre
Author: Jade Lazerevic
When: Sunday December 16, 2001

AMERICAN industrial rockers Stabbing Westward have been playing for more than 15 years.

Since forming in 1986, Stabbing Westward have gone through more than its fair share of musicians.

Founded by vocalist Chris Hall and keyboardist Walter Flakus, the band have shared the stage with musos including Nine Inch Nails' drummer Chris Vrenna. 'We've been through about 15 member changes,' Hall says.

'It's weird, it's frustrating at times, you hire people and you're the boss for the first week and then a week later you're equal.'

Stabbing Westward will join Live on stage when they perform at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on December 16. Tickets are available from Ticketek.
