Rock hard Lump Heading for Town

Who: Lump
Where: SJ's on Beaumont
Author: Jade Lazarevic
When: Wednesday August 15, 2001

A night of pure hard rock is guaranteed when Lump travels down from Queensland to play at SJ's Hotel next Wednesday.

With a line-up consisting of two members of Aussie rock group The Poor, Lump has the experience to get SJ's pounding.

Featuring The Poor's Skenie on vocals and guitar and Gavin on drums, Lump has already caused quite a stir on the music scene.

The group has recorded a three-track demo that opens with the track Funny, which has received airplay on Triple J's Oz Music Show and had a great response from listeners.

Taking no time to settle down, the band also plays new material that combines a full rock sound with a commercial flavour.

Within a few short months of touring, Lump has already played with acts such as Shihad, Rollerball and The Screaming Jets. Joining Lump on Wednesday are local boys Enertia and Undersided. Entry to the show is $5 and tickets are available at the door.

Lump will continue down the coast to perform a number of gigs in Sydney.
