DO yourself a favour and head out to the Wickham Park Hotel on Saturday night.
Quirky and catchy exponents of lounge-core, Favours For Each Other will be part of a diverse combination of local talent.
At the top of the bill will be the recently formed Pornskars, who deliver an infectious blend of humour-filled ska tunes.
The Pornskars feature current and former members of top Newcastle bands such as The Porkers, Headbin, Loose, Sandpaper and Fish Fry. Favours For Each Other will perform predominantly their own pop-influenced tunes as well as a couple of obscure covers by The Pixies, Beck, Primus and ABBA (yes, ABBA).
Guitarist Anthony Dean said their covers are generally well received, but the ABBA songs tend to freak people out a little.
