ONE of Australia's favourite musical sons, JAMES REYNE , will perform at the Newcastle Workers Club on Saturday, September 23.

Reyne, whose long history of musical success started with his band AUSTRALIAN CRAWL, is stopping in Australia before venturing to Brazil and the UK for a concert run.

Australian Crawl clocked up album sales of over two million copies before disbanding in 1986.

Reyne's first solo album James Reyne spawned three top-10 singles and went triple platinum.

With the success of the first album still fresh in the national memory, REYNE released a further two solo albums, Hard Reyne and Electric Digger Dandy.

Working and recording in Los Angeles with renowned producer Stewart Levine led to the critically acclaimed CD The Whiff of Bedlam.

Never one to be caught BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE , REYNE returned after a brief hiatus, with the album Live In Rio.

He recently appearanced alongside artists such as KATE CEBERANO , MERRIL BAINBRIDGE , HUMAN NATURE and ROSS WILSON for the JOHN FARNHAM 'I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S 50 TOUR'.
