AUSTRALIAN rock'n'roll 'golden boy' COL JOYE is coming to the Newcastle Workers Club next month with the stars of BANDSTAND, JUDY STONE, SANDY SCOTT and LITTLE PATTIE. The show, on Saturday, October 21, features 'a spectacular tribute to Australia's golden age of rock'n'roll television'. The live concert will include 'the Joy dancers' and one-time ELVIS PRESLEY pianist LARRY MUHOBERAC. DOUBLE FUN: PHOENIX Sundays In September continue in country music mode this week with SNAPE BROS and KATE BALLANTYNE from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Club members and their guests will catch a sneak preview of the Snape Bros' debut album, certain to be a treat for anyone who has witnessed the talented trio plying their three-part harmonies and triple-guitar attack.

LRB MAN: SINGER songwriter GLENN SHORROCK will return to the Hunter on Wednesday, October 18, with his LITTLE RIVER BAND show at Wests Leagues Club. Shorrock delivered a knockout performance in Newcastle last month with this same show, featuring the New Zealand HOKIO SHOW BAND, playing hits from LRB such as CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT, HELP IS ON ITS WAY, IT'S A LONG WAY THERE and hits from his solo career.

LATIN DANCE: NEWCASTLE Workers Club is offering members and guests Latin American dance classes every Wednesday night, from 7pm until 8pm, before PABLO DIABLO takes to the stage. Classes cost $5, with free entry later to try out the lessons on the live band. Pablo Diablo performs non-stop salsas, sambas, rumbas and more.
