Who: Triple Ripple
Where: Toronto District Workers Club
When: Saturday November 25, 2000

LEAD singer LAUREN WOOD is only 17, but already her singing career is on fast forward, thanks to a whole lot of talent and a little bit of networking.

For almost 12 months the vocalist has fronted CHILL, performing with guitarists RITCHIE SNEDDON and PETER STARR. 'She's a fantastic singer,' Sneddon says.

'In fact she's got one of the best voices I've heard here in town. We're spoilt.'

Wood can be seen this Friday night at the Imperial Hotel in Singleton and on Saturday night at the Toronto Workers Club.

Wood's mum works with Sneddon at EnergyAustralia and, when she found out Ritchie performed in the band TRIPPLE RIPPLE she introduced her talented daughter to him.

After Tripple Ripple's singer LOUISE WILKINSON left the trio to start a family, Wood stepped into the spotlight in January and Chill was formed.

'We play ballads and light rock in the first half of the night, and danceable light rock music in the second half,' Sneddon said.

All members of Chill sing three-part harmonies, with Sneddon and Starr swapping lead guitar and lead vocal duties throughout the night.
