Who: Don Walker
Where: Northern Star Hotel
When: Saturday November 25, 2000

LEGENDARY Australian songwriter DON WALKER will perform a rare and intimate show at the Northern Star Hotel on Saturday, November 25, to road-test new songs for his second solo album.

Walker's manager RAY SMITH said there would be some new and old songs performed at the gig, which will feature RED RIVERS on guitar, ANGUS DIGGES on drums and GARRETT COSTIGAN on pedal steel.

As the main songwriter for COLD CHISEL between 1973 and 1983, Walker wrote SATURDAY NIGHT, CHEAP WINE, STANDING ON THE OUTSIDE, FOUR WALLS and KHE SANH among others.

He also wrote the title track for SLIM DUSTY'S 100th album LOOKING FORWARD, LOOKING BACK. As well as a solo album WE'RE ALL GUNNA DIE in 1994, Walker has released two albums with CATFISH in 1989 and 1991, as well as a live album and studio album as TEX, DON & CHARLIE, featuring TEX PERKINS and CHARLIE OWEN.
