NATIONAL bush band champions OUTBACK will kick up a storm this week, performing three shows of bush music, folk, bluegrass, country and rock.

The award-winning trio will perform on Friday night at the Cardiff Workers Club, Saturday night at Adamstown RSL Club, and Sunday night at the Phoenix Club.

Guitarist BRETT LAMBKIN, fiddler DAVE FORSTER and percussionist GREG CARRUTHERS won the WILLIAMSON/WACKERS AWARD for best bush band at the CARLTON UNITED/FOSTER'S BATTLE OF THE BUSH BANDS at West Tamworth Leagues Club back in January.

Outback performs a mixture of original tunes, traditional Aussie songs, Irish and Scottish jigs and reels, as well as contemporary material by JOHN WILLIAMSON, REDGUM, BULLAMAKANKA and THE BUSHWACKERS. TE
