Band Making it in a New Class

Who: Enertia, Testeagles, Elephant Gun
Where: SJ's on Beaumont
When: Wednesday December 6, 2000

WITH the HSC a fading memory, and sporting fresh Schoolies Week tans, Newcastle original rockers ENERTIA are primed to take on the PILS SESSION gig at SJ's Hotel tonight.

The free concert, which also features heavy rockers TESTEAGLES and ELEPHANT GUN, is part of an untapped regional talent search sponsored by brewers LION NATHAN. On Friday night Enertia will join the same bill at the Daily Planet in Penrith, near where the band gathered fans last year on the GROUNDED FESTIVAL supporting SUNK LOTO, LOKI, SKULKER and TESTEAGLES. Speaking by telephone from Byron Bay last week, bass player JESS FINNANE said tonight's show would be the band's first since launching the CD LIVE AT THE JOINT in August. The band has not played due to exam commitments, but has not been idle.

'We've still been practicing four nights a week,' Finnane said.
