MELBOURNE band DEADSTAR will perform at Fanny's tomorrow night, to promote the third single from their album OVER THE RADIO (Mushroom Records).

Deadstar will be joined on stage by RUMANASTONE, who recently supported THE WHITLAMS at the Newcastle Workers Club, and PRETTY VIOLET STAIN who supported KILLING HEIDI last week at The Palais.

Deadstar's first single from Over The Radio spent 33 weeks in the National ARIA singles chart and achieved number 1 on the National ARIA Alternative Chart.

The second single RUN BABY RUN achieved similar success, and in June the band released a third single OVER THE RADIO from the album.

The band includes guitarist BARRY PALMER, formerly of HUNTERS & COLLECTORS and HAREM SCAREM, drummer PETER JONES (briefly of CROWDED HOUSE), bass player PETER MCCRACKEN, guitarist MICHAEL DEN ELZEN and vocalist CAROLINE KENNEDY. Deadstar released an album MILK in 1997 and self-titled album in 1996.
