African Music Diva to Headline Festival



What: Hemispheres

CONTEMPORARY global diva ANGELIQUE KIDJO will headline HEMISPHERES, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Arts Festival's two-day celebration of music from around the world at Centennial Park.



The two-day event, on Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10, features UK groups TRANSGLOBAL UNDERGROUND, ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION and NATACHA ATLAS. Many Australian acts with a cross-cultural component will perform, including EPIZO BANGOURA and KAVISHA MAZELLA. Other Australian acts confirmed are CHRISTINE ANU, ALEX LLOYD, DAVID BRIDIE, JIMMY LITTLE, KARMA COUNTRY and PAUL KELLY. TE has a double pass to HEMISPHERES, VALUED AT $110, to give away.



The double pass entitles the winner to entry for both days and includes three CDs FULL FATHOM FIVE'S FRIEND OR FAUX, FRIENDLY'S new album AKIMBO and DIMITRI from Paris's new album A NIGHT AT THE PLAYBOY MANSION.
