Something to Say, at Full Tilt

Who: Nokturnl, Tumbleweed
Where: The Cambridge Hotel
When: Friday April 14, 2000

ACCORDING to THE MELBOURNE AGE 'the most exciting set' of the Melbourne BIG DAY OUT came from NOKTURNL. The group, playing this Friday night at The Cambridge Hotel with TUMBLEWEED, hails from Alice Springs and plays a dynamic mix of metal, rap and reggae.

NoKTuRNL's music has aptly been described as 'full tilt, in-your-face metal/blue/hip hop/core'.

With strident vocals and hard hitting raps NoKTuRNL have something to say and they expect you to listen.

Signed to Sputnik through MUSHROOM RECORDS and SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING, NoKTuRNL released debut single NEVA MEND in February.

Additional songs NO RESPECT and NEW ERA, were recorded with KRAM and WHITT from SPIDERBAIT in early 1999, and mixed by MAGOO in December.

NoKTuRNL first came to national attention when they toured with Spiderbait in April/May 1997.

A set of dates through suburban NSW with female post-punk rockers-Nitocris followed.

In 1998 the band played at the STOMPEM GROUND FESTIVAL in Broome.
