LOUNGE music and cool jazz is becoming more popular among young people who want to be able to talk while playing pool, according to DAVID JACK of the BLUE NOTE jazz duo.

Playing this Friday night, from 7.30pm, at Heaton Birmingham Gardens Bowling Club, vocalist David and pianist partner LOUISE JACK, have been playing together for 'a couple of years'.

'It's the kind of stuff that people know,' David said.

'We do all the old favourites by FRANK SINATRA, GLEN MILLER, LOUIS ARMSTRONG, DUKE ELLINGTON and BOBBY DARIN.' Some of the tunes include MACK THE KNIFE, NEW YORK NEW YORK, TAKE THE A TRAIN, SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET, MOONLIGHT SERENADE, IT HAD TO BE YOU, THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA and SUMMER TIME. TE
