Dizi Keeps Fans in Spin

Who: Dizi
Where: Mayfield Ex Services Club
When: Friday July 30, 1999

SINCE October last year groovy Newcastle-based covers band DIZI has been winning over audiences with Top 10 songs featuring female vocalists as soon as they enter the charts.

Playing this Friday night at Mayfield Ex-Services Club, Dizi combines the talents of 19-year-old vocalist AMY VEE and a live band with a formidable list of credits.

For punters that means they get to hear the music of SHANIA TWAIN, BRITNEY SPEARS, ALL SAINTS and NATALIE IMBRUGLIA, in a live setting, played by extremely capable hands.

Vee has performed with various acts since she was 14, including THE WHISPERING JACK SHOW with her father MIKE VEE who sings the part of JOHN FARNHAM with an astounding likeness.

Bass player and keyboard player SIMON ENDERSBY has performed with the NEIL DIAMOND SHOW, ULTIMATE FREAK OUT and THE COOL FACTOR. Drummer STEVE FULLER has performed and recorded with GINA JEFFREYS, TROY CASSAR-DALEY and FELICITY. Guitarist MICHAEL RIGBY has performed with a range of well known musicians, including WILBUR WILDE and RENEE GEYER. All members perform backing vocals, but Fuller performs lead vocals on AEROPLANE by RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS and THE SONG FORMERLY KNOWN AS by REGURGITATOR. Next week the group will perform at Fanny's on Thursday, August 5, and the Iron Horse Inn on Friday, August 6. TE
