Crunchy Mix of Popcorn

Who: Mother Popcorn
Where: Grand Hotel
When: Friday January 22, 1999

THE music of MOTHER POPCORN, a potent mix of commercial cover songs and original material, has been widened with the addition of new songs that aim to take the talents of this five-piece band to a broader audience.

BOB CORBETT (pictured), DAVID CARTER, PAUL ELLIOT, CHRIS LOWE and GUY DEVILLE previously limited their performances to once a month. But with the coming of 1999, they have stepped up their performances along with their repertoire.

With credentials to pull off a memorable performance, through their flawless musicianship and experience, all members of the band have made an impression on the music scene.

Playing in bands such as LOVE THAT HAT, LOONATIC FRINGE, BLISS, FUNBUSTERS, NO MORE CRIME, YIANTE, IAN MOSS, PENNY FLANAGAN and many more, it's easy to see the lads' wealth of experience.

The songs covered by the band range from LED ZEPPELIN, NEIL YOUNG, THE POLICE, NEIL FINN, EAGLES, GARY MOORE, STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN and COLD CHISEL, and added to that is an almost equal number of original compositions.

To catch Mother Popcorn's sound, get on down to the Grand Hotel this Friday night or SJ's Hotel on Saturday night.
